Pumpkin Patch and Chess Club

We really wanted to take our kids to a farm this year. However, Jackson is not a fan of the car and with all the allergies going around, we decided we'd wait another year and hopefully visit a real farm next year. So we decided to go to a local pumpkin patch in the city near where Collin works. We went last Saturday. We didn't have too much time to stay and play games since we had other plans in the afternoon. Jackson slept through most of it until I woke him up for pictures. We bought the biggest pumpkin they had so we could put Jackson in for some cute pictures. Caden and Grace had fun.

Later that day, we took Caden to his first chess club meeting. I decided to start a chess club and invited kids in one of our homeschool groups to join us. At first we were going to host it at our house but after 30 people said they were interested in coming, I decided to move the location to the library. 15 people came to our first meeting. That included a few moms and siblings. The kids had fun. Caden is really good at chess and ended up winning all of the games he played. Such a smartie!

Mama, what's this?
