Visit from our German Friend

We have been so busy that I have not had time to write more about our visit from our dear friend, Michael, who lived next door to us in Germany.  He was our neighbor for 3.5 years.  Michael came to stay with us for 10 days and we all had a wonderful visit.  Caden was so excited to see him as well.  Of course he brought many nice treats for him and us.  Thank you, Michael, for visiting us and all the wonderful gifts from Germany, including the beautiful cooper picture of our house.  We know you spent a lot of time on it and we are so grateful.

While he was here we went to the Stockyards, Southfork Ranch, saw where JFK was killed and the 6th Floor Museum (we didn't have time for the tour inside but had a tour outside), Collin and Michael went to a Mavs game and were even seen on the news!  We also went to see the musical Mary Poppins, which was fantastic.  Collin took Michael to the Log Cabin Village, we went to the Titanic Exhibit, I took him to the Botanical Gardens, we went to the Science and History Museum, saw an IMAX, and he went to the Cow Girl Museum.  He helped serve food at our church and helped us teach Caden's Sunday school class two weeks in a row.  We also introduced him to Mexican food, Texas BBQ, and American hamburgers among other things.  We tried to do as much as we could while he was here.  He also got to meet a lot of our family and friends.  It was really nice seeing him.  We consider him and his family to be like family to us.  Here are some pictures from his visit.
