Grace was 2 weeks old yesterday and we took her to her 2 week follow-up appointment. She now weighs 8 lbs 4 oz and is 21.5 inches long. She has almost gained a pound in two weeks which the doctor said was great! I was worried about it since she's such an efficient eater, I was afraid she might not be eating enough. Also she sleeps really well at night and I've tried and tried to wake her after 3-4 hours to eat and she doesn't wake up. She ends up having a good stretch of sleep for about 5-6 hours at night! I'm amazed. Thankfully she has enough wet and dirty diapers and is growing great so my fears are put to rest. Also her doctor said since she's growing so well, I don't have to worry about trying to wake her up at night to eat. Hooray!
We are loving every minute with our newest addition in our family. Caden is still being a super big brother and truly loves his little sister. Grace is a strong little girl and lifts her head up very well and is starting to stay awake for longer periods of time. Collin has now gone back to the office. He was able to work from home half days last week. I'm adjusting to our new life and I'm tired but enjoying it. My house is a mess, not dirty but there are toys in random places. Thankfully Caden is pretty helpful. I had him vacuum under the kitchen table this morning since he made a mess. He's great helping with that, it's picking up his toys by himself that we're still working on. I'm learning to let some things go and just enjoy my little kids.
