Dinosaur World

Caden loves dinosaurs and about an hour from us is all kinds of neat dinosaur activities.  There's Dinosaur Valley, Dinosaur World, a Creation Evidence Museum, and Fossil Rim Wildlife Center.  We needed to get our oil changed yesterday, which can take a few hours, so we dropped off our car and decided to surprise Caden by taking him to Dinosaur World.

Caden was super excited to see all of the dinosaurs.  He kept asking if they were real or pretend.  They have over 100 life-size dinosaur replicas and information about each kind and where their bones were found.  It was an amazing exhibit.  There was a dinosaur dig for the kids where they could dig for bones.  It honestly was too hot (100 degrees) to dig for any bones or play on the playground.  So we went through the dinosaur park walk and grabbed some cold water and went into the air conditioned museum where we could read more about dinosaurs.  Thankfully they gave us free tickets to come back in December to dig for dinosaur bones and see all the dinosaurs again.  I didn't need to be in the heat very long so we only spent about an hour there.  I look forward to going again and watching Caden dig for bones.  This Fall we're going to be studying dinosaurs more as part of his pre-K program.  Caden and I are really looking forward to it.
